Anucha Metals provides Aluminium 6083 Forgings designed for structural and transportation industries that require high-performance forged parts. Manufactured in Bangkok, Thailand, our 6083 forgings strike a balance between strength, corrosion resistance, and good surface finish. This alloy performs similarly to 6082 and is used for high-load structures that need stability and formability. We offer both closed-die and open-die forging options, ensuring parts meet industry requirements. With extensive manufacturing capabilities, Anucha Metals delivers Aluminium 6083 forgings in custom dimensions for construction, transportation, and general engineering applications.
Aluminium 6083 is structurally similar to 6082 and consists of aluminium (approximately 97.8%), magnesium (around 1.0%), silicon (about 0.7%), and traces of manganese and iron. It is heat-treatable and offers tensile strength of approximately 290 to 330 MPa and yield strength around 240 MPa. It has good corrosion resistance, high fatigue strength, and great machinability. This alloy performs well during forging, maintaining its grain structure and stability. Like 6082, it suits parts that require lightweight strength and durability in demanding conditions.

Yes, Aluminum 6083 can be forged into thin-walled custom shapes, but it requires precise control of temperature, pressure, and tooling due to its relatively high strength and tendency to harden.
Aluminum 6083 has excellent workability, making it ideal for forging. Its high formability allows for intricate shapes with minimal cracking, ensuring smooth, efficient forging processes for complex components.
Aluminum 6083 is not ideal for high-temperature forging applications. It has lower strength at elevated temperatures compared to other alloys like 7075, making it unsuitable for such conditions.
Aluminium 6083 Forgings are used in bridge components, structural frames, and machine parts. In transportation, they serve in trailer frames, chassis, and mounting brackets. They are suitable for industrial platforms, walkways, and scaffold supports. In marine applications, they are used for superstructure elements and corrosion-resistant deck hardware. Due to their machinability and strength, they are also used in heavy-duty equipment, automotive supports, and architectural profiles. Whenever precise shape and structural performance are critical, 6083 forgings provide the reliability and effectiveness necessary for long-lasting forged components.
