Anucha Metals is a reliable manufacturer and supplier of Aluminium 6082 Forgings based in Bangkok, Thailand. This structural alloy is known for its outstanding mechanical properties, making Aluminium 6082 perfect for heavy-duty load-bearing applications. It is the strongest alloy in the 6000 series, featuring good corrosion resistance, weldability, and machinability. Our 6082 forgings are carefully crafted for demanding sectors like transport, construction, and aerospace. Anucha Metals provides both custom and standard forging solutions to meet EN and ASTM specifications, ensuring consistent quality, refined grain structure, and accuracy for every critical engineering project.
Aluminium 6082 contains about 97.8% aluminium, 1.0 to 1.2% magnesium, 0.6 to 1.0% silicon, along with small amounts of manganese and iron. It is heat-treatable and provides tensile strength of 290 to 340 MPa and yield strength up to 260 MPa in T6 temper. This alloy delivers great corrosion resistance, weldability, and high fatigue strength. Forged 6082 maintains structural stability and has good machinability. It is well-suited for applications that require both lightweight and strength, especially where durability under load is essential.

Forging Aluminum 6082 involves heating the alloy to a specific temperature, applying pressure through hammering or pressing, and shaping it into custom forms. The process improves strength and durability.
Aluminum 6082 is not typically used for high-temperature forging applications. It has good strength and corrosion resistance but lacks the high-temperature stability required for such applications compared to other alloys.
The workability of Aluminum 6082 affects the forging process by enabling good formability at elevated temperatures, allowing for complex shapes. However, it requires precise control to avoid cracking or deformation.
Aluminium 6082 Forgings are suitable for structural uses like bridges, cranes, trusses, and high-load construction parts. In automotive and rail industries, they are used for chassis, frames, and suspension systems. The alloy is perfect for shipbuilding, offshore platforms, and machinery parts that face high mechanical stress. It is also applied in transportation (trailers, commercial vehicles) and aerospace tooling. Thanks to its weldability and mechanical strength, 6082 is a top choice for forged components designed to perform reliably over long periods in tough environments.
