Anucha Metals offers Aluminium 5082 Forgings known for excellent strength, weldability, and corrosion resistance. Manufactured in Bangkok, Thailand, our 5082 forgings are ideal for load-bearing applications in transportation and marine industries. This high-magnesium alloy balances workability and strength. We produce custom and standard forged components that meet international quality and dimensional accuracy standards, tailored to demanding industrial needs.
Aluminium 5082 includes about 92.5% aluminium, 4.5% magnesium, and small amounts of manganese, chromium, and silicon. It’s a non-heat-treatable alloy with a tensile strength of 275–340 MPa and yield strength around 215 MPa. It has excellent weldability and corrosion resistance, especially in saltwater environments. It retains mechanical integrity after forging and performs well in both cold and high-temperature settings.

Aluminum 5082 offers high strength, excellent corrosion resistance, good weldability, and enhanced fatigue resistance, making it ideal for custom forgings in marine, aerospace, and structural applications.
The forging process for Aluminium 5082 typically takes between 2 to 6 hours, depending on the complexity of the part, size, and the specific forging method used.
Aluminum 5082's workability, characterized by good machinability and medium strength, allows for easy shaping during forging. However, its relatively low work hardening rate may require careful temperature control.
Aluminium 5082 Forgings are widely used in vehicle frames, shipbuilding, storage tanks, and rail transport. It’s suitable for fuel and chemical containers, truck bodies, and hull structures due to its resistance to stress corrosion cracking. The alloy is used in LNG tankers and cryogenic applications due to its stable mechanical properties at low temperatures. Its forgeability and resistance to deformation under stress make it reliable in structural and marine applications.
