Anucha Metals, located in Bangkok, Thailand, is a reliable manufacturer and supplier of Stainless Steel 431 Bars and Rods, serving a range of industrial needs. SS 431 is a martensitic stainless steel grade recognized for its excellent toughness, corrosion resistance, and high tensile strength. It is particularly suitable for parts that need to resist chemical attack and moderate heat. With state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, Anucha Metals guarantees precise dimensions, high-quality finishing, and compliance with global standards. Stainless Steel 431 Bars/Rods are widely utilized in the chemical, food processing, marine, and engineering industries, offering performance, durability, and reliable service life.
Stainless Steel 431 Bars/Rods include chromium (15–17%), nickel (1.25–2.5%), and controlled carbon content. This mix offers better corrosion resistance compared to other martensitic grades while keeping high tensile strength. Mechanical properties include tensile strength between 850–1000 MPa and yield strength around 600 MPa. With about 15–20% elongation, they show good toughness and hardness. SS 431 is magnetic and can be heat-treated for increased strength. It also resists mild chemicals and corrosive environments, making it suitable for mechanical, structural, and marine applications.

Stainless Steel 431 Bars and Rods are ideal for applications requiring high strength and corrosion resistance. They are commonly used in marine, aerospace, automotive, and engineering industries for manufacturing shafts, fasteners, valve components, and other high-strength parts exposed to harsh environments.
Stainless Steel 431 offers a combination of high strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and good wear resistance, making it suitable for demanding applications. Unlike other grades, it has a higher hardness and is often used where mechanical performance and toughness are critical.
Stainless Steel 431 offers good machinability, but due to its high hardness, it may require specialized tools and techniques compared to lower-grade stainless steels. Proper machining practices can help achieve the desired results while maintaining the material's strength and integrity.
Stainless Steel 431 Bars/Rods are widely used in industries that require strength and corrosion resistance. In marine engineering, they are employed for propeller shafts, pump parts, and fasteners because of their seawater resistance. In chemical plants, they are used in equipment that comes into contact with mild chemicals and solvents. Aerospace and automotive industries utilize them in high-strength components such as valve parts, shafts, and gears. SS 431 is suitable for surgical instruments, kitchen tools, and food processing equipment due to its hygienic qualities. Its balance of strength, hardness, and corrosion resistance makes it versatile for various engineering and structural uses.
