Anucha Metals, a trusted stainless steel supplier in Bangkok, Thailand, provides premium Stainless Steel 420 Bars and Rods designed for versatile industrial uses. SS 420 is a martensitic stainless steel recognized for its great hardness, wear resistance, and moderate corrosion resistance. With precise engineering and high-quality materials, Anucha Metals ensures products that meet global standards and deliver reliable performance. Stainless Steel 420 Bars/Rods are widely trusted in manufacturing industries, especially where durability and edge retention are essential. Their cost-effectiveness and mechanical properties make them suitable for cutlery, surgical tools, machine parts, and various engineering applications.
Stainless Steel 420 Bars/Rods contain chromium (12–14%) with carbon content up to 0.40%, which provides excellent hardness after heat treatment. They show tensile strength between 650–850 MPa, and yield strength around 450 MPa. SS 420 offers good ductility with elongation of about 15% and Rockwell hardness up to 50 HRC when hardened. It resists corrosion in mild environments, fresh water, and food settings, although not as effectively in harsh chemicals. With magnetic properties and wear resistance, SS 420 is widely used in applications that require strength, sharpness, and long service life.

Stainless Steel 420 Bars and Rods are known for their excellent hardness, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance. They are a high-carbon steel that can be heat-treated for maximum hardness and are ideal for applications that require strength and durability, such as cutlery, surgical instruments, and valve parts.
Stainless Steel 420 has higher carbon content compared to other grades like 304 or 316, which allows it to be hardened through heat treatment. This makes it particularly suitable for applications that demand high strength, hardness, and wear resistance, although it may not offer the same corrosion resistance as other austenitic grades.
Stainless Steel 420 is commonly used in the manufacturing of cutlery, surgical instruments, automotive components, and valves due to its excellent hardness, strength, and resistance to corrosion.
Stainless Steel 420 Bars/Rods are widely used in cutlery, surgical instruments, and dental tools because they achieve high hardness and sharp edges. They are also common in machine parts, pump shafts, valves, and molds that require wear resistance and durability. In the automotive industry, SS 420 is used for fasteners, gears, and shafts. Food processing companies use them in blades and processing tools. They are also used in textile machinery, mining equipment, and decorative applications. With cost-effectiveness and strength, SS 420 is one of the most versatile grades for industries needing a balance between hardness and moderate corrosion resistance.
