Stainless Steel 202 Round Bars and Rods are made up of 17–19% Chromium, 4–6% Nickel, and a notable Manganese content of 7.5–10%, along with small amounts of Carbon, Silicon, and Nitrogen. This blend gives them moderate corrosion resistance and solid mechanical strength. The alloy shows a tensile strength of about 515 MPa (75 ksi) and a yield strength of roughly 275 MPa (40 ksi), along with decent elongation properties. While it may not resist corrosion as well as 304 stainless steel, SS 202 is highly workable, offering good formability and weldability.
